Researchers at the Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging are looking for LeadingAge members willing to participate in a 5-year Age Well Study that will analyze the health benefits of living in a life plan community.
The deadline to volunteer for the study is Dec. 15. Visit the Age Well Study website to express your interest in participating.
“The impact of living in a life plan community is under-explored,” says Dr. Cate O’Brien, the Institute on Aging’s assistant vice president and director. “There are a number of reasons to believe the impact is a positive one, most notably that life plan communities offer an opportunity-rich environment with programs, amenities, services and health care that support wellness, sense of community, and opportunities to find fulfillment. This study will help to qualify—and quantify—those beliefs.”
