Mather residents donate hand-knit hats to local students

The winter was a little warmer this year for area school children, thanks to residents at The Mather, a senior living community at 425 Davis St. Members of their casual needle art group created 100 hats for ESCCA (Evanston Children’s School Clothing Association), a volunteer organization that provides clothes to District 65 children in need.

“These talented residents with big hearts channeled their energies toward this important need as part of The Mather’s commitment to volunteer projects in the broader community,” marketing director Alice St. Clair told the RoundTable.
